The National
Examination Council (NECO) has announced the release of results of the
June/July 2015 examination which saw improvements in students’ performance as
against last year exams.
The announcement
was made in Minna today by the NECO registrar, Prof. Abdulrashid Garba as he
spoke on the general performance on this year’s exam results.
He went
ahead to state that 68.5 per cent of candidates that sat for the examination
scored more than 5 credits, which saw an improvement of 16.27 per cent from the
previous year.
Again,
according to the NECO boss, the results of fewer percentages of candidates that
engaged in exam malpractice were cancelled and the lists of schools that were
also involved in the malpractice were blacklisted.
This
announcement is coming exactly 60 days after the final paper for this year’s
NECO examination was concluded, signalling a remarkable improvement and
achievement for the council.
